Do we have greatness all wrong?

We’re taught that greatness is defined by our status, achievements, and the amount of recognition we receive. But Jesus had a different idea. He exemplified and taught others that greatness was beneath the surface. That true greatness is defined by the content of our character, hearts, and willingness to serve others.

Whether it was for the food in front of him or for the company he kept, Jesus was intentional in frequently expressing his gratitude. You can be that way too.

Being a peacemaker does not mean avoiding a disagreement. Jesus could defuse conflict through his carefully meassured questions, listening skills and unexpected compassion. Jesus wasn't afraid to step between bullies and their victim, and you can be that way too.

Jesus called out hypocrisy with clear words and dramatic actions. He criticized elites for pointing fingers at others while ignoring their own faults. Jesus was someone who spoke truth to power effectively, and you can be that way too.
